The gospel of the Kingdom

When John the Baptist came preparing the way for our Lord he came saying, "repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!"

When Jesus came his first declaration was, "the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel."

This gospel was the gospel of the Kingdom.

When we speak of restoration of the church we are saying there is something much larger at hand than church as we have known it.  There is a mindset of who we are as the church that desperately needs a paradigm shift.

We are speaking about the gospel of the Kingdom of God. A kingdom that has come and is coming until all of His enemies are under his feet. A Kingdom that has a King presently enthroned, not waiting for a bailout plan from its responsibility. A Kingdom that brings an empowerment to its operatives that will bring a cultural penetrating light to a world that is darkened in its comprehension and blinded to the reality of such a realm. A realm that  is truly heavenly in nature and teaming with a life that is overflowing with joy, transforming power and freedom from limitations to knowing the heart of our God, intimately. It is progressive in nature and advancing in influence, as we speak.

Likened to a river that changes the landscape as it cuts through the terrain and washes over the rough places and makes them smooth.

This is more than a "myopic", "me- centered" gospel where personal salvation is the end goal. This Kingdom gospel involves an earth that is groaning for its redemption. A new heaven and a new earth that is awaiting its transformation. ( see Romans 8). Come visit with us for more regarding this gospel of the Kingdom.
